Vaginal tablets Lotrisone are used for different diseases, provoked by fungi Candida and Trichomonas, as well as superinfection genital provoked by microorganisms. In addition, the tablet can be used to prevent the following various gynecological procedures.
Lotrisone indications – ringworm of the head, trunk, inguinal folds, feet, hands, tryphofeetosis – chromophytosis and erythrasma – onychomycosis – candidiasis of the oral mucosa.
Lotrisone is taken only locally (vaginal application). Vaginal tablets should be taken into vagina as deeply as possible in the supine position with slightly bent legs, each day for 6 days and 1 vaginal tablet in the evening. Second course of treatment is possible, after consulting a doctor.
When you suffer vulvita or balanitis candidiasis it is recommended at the same time take Lotrisone cream, causing its outer 2-3 times a day for 6-12 days in the affected area.
In clinical and experimental studies have found that the Lotrisone use during pregnancy or during lactation has no negative impact on the health of women or the fetus (child).
The vaginal introduction of the Lotrisone drug reduces the activity of amphotericin B and other polyene antibiotics.
To prevent reinfection there should be simultaneous treatment of sexual partners. In II, III trimester of pregnancy using vaginal applicator is undesirable. If there is trichomoniasis it is better to combine treatment with chemotherapeutic LS (metronidazole orally).
Avoid contact with mucous membrane of the eye. Patients with liver failure should periodically monitor the functional state of the liver. When you see signs of hypersensitivity or irritation you should stop treatment. If there is no effect within 4 weeks you should confirm the diagnosis.
The use of the drug in high doses did not cause any reactions and conditions hazardous to life. Symptoms, that may occur while Lotrisone treatment in the event of an unintended use of the drug (oral) are possible anorexia, nausea, vomiting, liver dysfunction, drowsiness, hallucinations, thamuria, allergic skin reactions.
Don’t take Lotrisone if you have hypersensitivity to active substance or any component of the drug, if you have the first trimester of pregnancy, period of menstruation or if your breastfeeding.
